Barcelona have emerged as surprise contenders to sign Sevilla midfielder Steven N'Zonzi. The 27-year-old joined the Europa League holders from Stoke City in 2015.
N'Zonzi has been in impressive form for Sevilla since the start of the campaign, and his performances have captured the attention of Spanish champions Barcelona.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are on the search for an efficient back-up to Sergio Busquets, and see N'Zonzi as the perfect fit for the role.
The French footballer has recently iterated that he is content at his present club, but it remains to be seen whether he would be tempted to join a side of Barcelona's calibre, where he would earn minimal playing time.
N'Zonzi, who is also on the radar of Everton and Leicester City, has appeared in 61 games in all competitions for Sevilla.
