West Brom to return for Jeffrey Schlupp

Baggies plan fresh attempt for Schlupp

West Brom to return for Jeffrey Schlupp

17 November 2016 - 07:05

West Bromwich Albion are prepared to make a renewed bid for Jeffrey Schlupp when the transfer window reopens in the New Year. The Leicester City midfielder was the subject of multiple bids from the Baggies last summer.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • The 23-year-old was one among the prime targets for the Baggies in the summer months, but unfortunately a deal could not be materialised.

According to The Mirror, Baggies boss Tony Pulis still has hope of signing the Ghana international after the winger snubbed a fresh contract with the Premier League champions.

The West Midlands side currently have the financial backing from new owner Guochuan Lai, and they are prepared to lure Schlupp on a long-term contract with a substantial pay rise.

Schlupp has made a solitary league start for Leicester City this season, coming in a demoralizing 3-0 defeat versus Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
