Barcelona are reportedly in pole position to sign long-serving Shakhtar Donetsk star Darijo Srna. The Croatian international will be allowed to leave the Ukrainian giants on a free transfer in January.
Srna, 34, has been on the Barcelona's radar since the start of the season, and it is now reported that they have settled on an 18-month contract to bring him to Camp Nou.
Spanish source AS, the experienced right-back will end his 13-year association with Shakhtar in the New Year after they agreed to terminate the remainder of his contract as a sign of respect.
The veteran has just six months left on his existing deal, and this has urged him to pursue a bigger challenge with Barcelona before hanging up his boots.
Srna is likely to slot into the starting line-up at Barcelona in 2017 with manager Luis Enrique not entirely convinced with the abilities of Sergi Roberto.
