Premier League leaders Chelsea will reportedly face stiff competition from Bayern Munich in the pursuit of Hoffenheim star Niklas Sule in January.
The German international is believed to be the top target for Antonio Conte, who is seeking to add a commanding presence to his backline.
According to ESPN. Bayern Munich are also keeping a close eye on the player's situation, and could be tempted to make a move for his services in the New Year.
Conte is said to admire the young defender due to his excellent adaptability to the three at the back formation at Hoffenheim.
However, the prospect of a bigger challenge in his home nation could be something hard to ignore, should a club of Bayern's calibre table an offer for his signature.
Sule has earned over 90 appearances for Hoffenheim in all competitions till date.
