Wolves yet to decide on Borthwick-Jackson

08 December 2016 - 06:52

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert has revealed that he is yet to reach a conclusion over the future of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson. The teenager is on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Borthwick-Jackson, 19, arrived at the Molineux in the summer with a view to earning valuable playing time with the Wolves for the campaign.

However, with the dismissal of Walter Zenga last month, the youngster has failed to make the starting line-up with new boss Lambert deeming the player to be inexperienced.

"Cameron's obviously on loan here and hasn't really featured under me, just because I felt we needed a bit more experience," he told the Wolves website.

The versatile defender was added to the Red Devils' Europa League squad a fortnight ago, and it is believed that Jose Mourinho is prepared to have the player back at Old Trafford in the New Year.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have struggled in the Championship this season, and are currently lying in 20th place, just two points off the relegation zone.
