Manchester United could well be stuck with Matteo Darmian until the summer. The Italy international has recently returned into the first-team fold under Jose Mourinho.
According to reports in Italy, the full-back was expecting to leave the Red Devils in the New Year amid interest from the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus.
However, neither club have yet to lodge a formal approach for his services, and this could mean that he could stay put at Old Trafford until the end of the campaign.
Darmian has been preferred ahead of Luke Shaw and at times Daley Blind for the left-back role, but it is believed that Jose Mourinho still wants the player offloaded in the winter transfer window.
The former Torino man has started in the last six league outings for the Manchester United following a difficult start to the campaign.
