Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has earmarked Paris Saint-Germain\'s Marco Veratti as a potential replacement for Oscar.

Oscar, 25, is expected to part ways with the West London giants in the New Year after the Blues agreed on a &pound50m fee for his move to Shanghai SIPG.

According to The Mail, Conte has already identified his midfield target to fill the void but the transfer sum remains a big question.

Italy international Verratti is said to be unsettled at Parc des Princes this season, but it is understood that Blues would have to cough up a hefty price for his signature.

The Premier League leaders are for now offering &pound30m which remains well below Les Parisiens\' &pound50m asking price for the midfielder.

Verratti is unhappy with his stay at Paris Saint-Germain following strong criticism from the French media over his performance this term.
