Third club in for Woodgate

Third club in for Woodgate

28 January 2008 - 14:37

A third unnamed club has reportedly entered the race to sign Jonathan Woodgate.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The player looked certain to join either Spurs or Newcastle but according to Middlesbrough chief executive Keith Lamb there is a third unnamed club enquiring about the central defender.

Reports suggest it could be Arsenal which Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger stongly denies.

"There is no truth in it at all," said Wenger.

"We have never been in touch with Middlesbrough about Jonathan Woodgate."
