Bolton want Gudjohnsen

28 January 2008 - 19:38

Barcelona are reportedly ready to let Bolton speak to Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen. Bolton will be expected to pay around £5 million to land the player who has also been linked with a move to West Ham. Gudjohnsen is seen as the perfect replacement for Nicolas Anelka.

  • Chelsea poised to make bid for Man Utd winger

  • Bolton boss Megson wants the Barcelona star to return to the Reebok and fire the Trotters to safety.

Gudjohnsen has fallen out of the picture at the Nou Camp this term and has been offered the chance by Megson to make a loan switch until the end of the season.

The Icelandic striker started his career in England with Bolton back in 1998 and is still considered a cult hero.
