AC Milan reluctant to pay loan fee for Deulofeu

AC Milan are reportedly refusing to pay a loan fee up front for Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu. The Rossoneri have been in discussions for the Spaniard since the start of the month.

  • Napoli & Atletico want to sign Man Utd star for £24m

  • Milan had proposed to take the 22-year-old a short-term loan with the obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.

However, it seems manager Ronald Koeman is reluctant to let the player leave without a fee, and this has stalled their discussions with the Milan outfit.

Middlesbrough and Ajax are said to have now entered the chase with both willing to accept to the Toffees' demands for the attacker.

Deulofeu joined the Toffees on a permanent move from Barcelona in the summer of 2015 following a successful loan spell previously. His former club are said to have a buy-back clause written in his contract, but there is no interest as of now.
