Moyes: tough competition

Moyes: tough competition

29 January 2008 - 20:39

Everton boss David Moyes is remaining cautious of his sides chances of qualifying for the Champions League, insisting they should not think too much about it because it is only January.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • "Well I feel very good because of the position we are in but it means nothing because we're not even out of January yet," he said.

"It doesn't mean anything at all - it's where you finish come May but what we need to do is put ourselves in a situation to do well come May and that's what we are doing at this present time.

"Its more like a big eight or nine teams and I think the spending power that some of these teams have got might get them much closer to the teams at the top in the coming season or so."
