West Bromwich Albion are reportedly planning a late swoop for Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez. The England international was on the Baggies radar in the summer before Claude Puel blocked the proposed move.
Rodriguez has not featured much under Puel this season with the manager reluctant to offer 90 minutes of playing time every game on a regular basis.
According to The Star, the Baggies will retain their interest in the 27-year-old this month after they finally managed to offload contract rebel Saido Berahino to Stoke City.
Rodriguez is said to fancy a move to a fresh Premier League club, but the deal will dependent on whether the Saints complete the signing of Manolo Gabbiadini.
Southampton have already had a £13m bid rebuffed for the Napoli striker, but they are hopeful of clinching a deal with their improved £16m offer.
