Former Manchester City star Edin Dzeko is likely to stay put at AS Roma next season despite speculated interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, agent Silvano Martina reveals.

  • The Bosnian footballer joined the Giallorossi from the Citizens in the summer of 2015 and endured a tough first campaign in the Serie A.

His second season, however, has been a blessing in disguise with 24 goals in 32 outings keeping his side within reach of league leaders Juventus, whilst also competing for a top-three finish.

Both Los Blancos and the Blues have been recently associated with the ex-City player, but according to his representative, the 30-year-old is happy with his situation at the Stadio Olimpico.

"He is already at a big club. Roma have a great ownership, a huge fan base and I don't see any reason to change if you are in a good place," he told Mediaset.

"Even in matches he has not scored, he has played very well. The club has put their trust in him and he is showing what he can do."

Dzeko has already netted 17 goals in the Italian league this term, and this is a vast improvement on a meagre tally of eight goals in the same competition.
