Ibrahim Affelay pens new Stoke City contract

02 March 2017 - 09:29

Ibrahim Affelay has put pen to paper on a new contract with Stoke City until 2019. The former Barcelona attacking midfielder has worked his way back from injury into the first team line up this season and his club have rewarded him for his good form.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star

  • After working his way back to full fitness from an injury that left him out of action for over 8 months last year, Affelay is keen to now prove to the club's fans why he has signed a fresh deal at the club.

Affelay told the club's official website, "From the first day I came to the club I felt at home and I am looking forward to the future and to doing good things with this club.

"I hope we can continue to progress and develop. Stoke City are a great club. The way the fans support us is special, they are always behind us, especially at away games, and the people at the club are like a family."
