Team News: Arsenal face non league Lincoln City

11 March 2017 - 17:04

Under pressure Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has named a strong starting lineup for the FA Cup quarter final match against Lincoln City. Lincoln have been the real success story of this season's competition, and will have the support of many football fans as they look to secure one of the biggest shock victories in the history of football.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Wenger's side crashed out of Europe this week with a 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich, and the Frenchman will be determined to lift the FA Cup trophy, as a symbol of at least a small bit of success, in what has been a poor season on and off the pitch at the Emirates.

Lincoln City of the National League are looking for a semi final place at Wembley, in a competition that nobody gave them a chance in. They may be a long way behind Arsenal in the standings of English football, but sitting top of their league and still competing in the FA Trophy aswell, the Imps certainly have the winning mentality this season.

Here are the teams for the FA Cup quarter final tie between Arsenal and Lincoln City:

Arsenal: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Xhaka, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanchez, Giroud

Substitutes: Gabriel, Perez, Ozil, Iwobi, Monreal, Martinez, Coquelin

Lincoln City: Farmann, Raggett, Waterfall, Hawkridge, Habergham, Wood, Power, Arnold, Woodyard, Muldoon, Rhead

Substitutes: Marriott, Margetts, McMenemy, McCombe, Calder, Ward, Etheridge
