German international Mesut Ozil has given a timely boost to Arsenal by suggesting that he will remain at Arsenal irrespective of what the future holds for manager Arsene Wenger.
The World Cup winner had previously cited that Wenger was key to his move to the Emirates, and he is committed to the club due to the Frenchman's presence.
However, in a fresh report from The Mail, the 28-year-old suggests that he is content to stay at the Emirates, and Wenger's exit will have no influence on his position.
Ozil has been a key performer for the Gunners in recent seasons, and his latest statement would come as a positive for the club, who are said to have offered a £250,000-a-week plus package to the midfielder.
Meanwhile, the north London club appear to have made no progress on the contract situation of Alexis Sanchez, and the Chilean looks set to be offloaded by the time he enters the final year of his contract in the summer.
