Sven-Goran Eriksson has admitted he is frustrated that he does not yet know whether he can sign Benjani for Man City from Portsmouth after the two clubs failed to agree terms before the end of the transfer window.
Eriksson said, "I was supposed to meet Benjani at 5.30, he didnât arrive, so I said âwhen will he arrive then?â
âThey said nine oâclock, so I said Iâll arrive at nine then, but then Iâm told he didnât arrive until 11.15.
âI donât know exactly whatâs happening, weâll have to wait and see. I hope he can still sign.
âItâs a little bit crazy I would say. âI suppose he wants to join us, otherwise why would he come here?
âBut I havenât spoken to the player so I donât know. I donât know why he was late, maybe something to do with a plane or something.
âI suppose weâll hear a final verdict today. I would like to have him in the squad. Last night I was a happy man, but this morning - just more confusion.â
