Franck Ribery has admitted that at times during his Bayern Munich career he has considered leaving, but he is now glad that he remained at Allianz Arena.
The French international signed for Bundesliga team Bayern Munich back in 2007 for a fee on twenty five million Euros. During his decade in Munich, Ribery has made 221 appearances, scoring 73 goals from his wide midfield position. Success has been regular for Ribery, winning everything that he possibly could with the club, including six Bundesliga titles and the 2013 Champions League.
As expected with a world class player, Ribery has been wanted by some of Europe's biggest clubs during his career. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea have all shown interest, something that the Frenchman admits temped him. He told Kicker "of course I thought about a move", but he now says that he is glad he stayed put and will end his career with Bayern Munich.
Franck Ribery is now 33 years old, but he insists that he "will play until my knee, my ankle or my back say 'stop'." His Bayern Munich side currently have a thirteen point lead at the top of league, making it very likely that he will add yet another Bundesliga winner's medal to his trophy cabinet.
