Slaven Bilic not leaving West Ham United

Bilic still a happy Hammer

Slaven Bilic not leaving West Ham United

31 March 2017 - 12:26

West Ham's joint chairman David Gold has officially ruled out a departure for Slaven Bilic in the coming weeks after a dismal league run for the Hammers. The Croatian manager, a firm fan favourite, has been linked with a departure from West Ham before the end of the league season.

  • Chelsea set to hold talks with £22m winger
  • Chelsea set for contract talks with £26m star

  • However, David Gold has told reporters that he has an excellent relationship with Bilic and that there are no plans to let the Croat depart the London Stadium, despite recent poor form.

Recent incidents, including the departure of star player Dimitri Payet, have caused significant dressing room unrest at the Hammers.

"There is no issue between me and the board and Slaven, and I go to every board meeting, and in the board there have been no discussions over Slaven -- he's our manager we all like him, he's a great guy," Gold told reporters.

"There's no issues. There never has been a new contract on the table. He still has the rest of this season and next season."
