Sanchez to Chelsea?

03 April 2017 - 20:50

Reports this evening suggest that the agent of Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez has held talks with Chelsea over the possibility of a move at the end of the season. The Premier League leaders are keen to get ahead of the competition by agreeing terms with the Chilean.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • RMC Sport say that Sanchez's representative has met with Chelsea officials to discuss a deal that would see the twenty eight year old remain in the English Capital.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has made no secret about the fact that he is already making plans to strengthen his squad ahead of next season and has previously called Sanchez a "top player."

Sanchez, who has stalled over signing a new contract with current club Arsenal, put Chelsea on high alert in a recent statement, which suggested that he wants to "stay in a winning team and keep playing in the same city. I want to play in a team that has aspirations." This could mean that he would like to move to another London club or simply that he wants to see progress made at the Emirates.

Paris Saint Germain are also said to be very interested in Sanchez, who has scored twenty two goals in all competitions this season. The Ligue 1 club see Sanchez as the perfect partner for Edison Cavani.
