The early afternoon game sees a great battle between two of the Premiership's most improved sides at Eastlands. Rosicky, Almunia, Eboue, Toure and van Persie are all on the injury list for the Gunners, whilst City are boosted by the return of Micah Richards.

  • Manchester City are still unbeaten at Eastlands, but are beginning to falter. Having won their first nine, they've drawn the last three on home soil. They were also held to a 1-1 draw, away to Championship bound Derby on Wednesday night.

    Wenger: we're up for it

"The only thing you want is for your team to respond because it's a race where the consistency will be rewarded - and the strength of character.

"We're up for it [the City game] and we are on a good run in the Premier League and we want to keep that going."

    Man City 1-2 Arsenal

An important away victory for the Gunners should temporarily see them go top. Adebayor has been the difference for the Gunners this year, and here is another chance for him to prove his value.
