Monaco willing to discuss deal for Man Utd target

Ligue 1 leaders AS Monaco are willing to cash in on star performer Tiemoue Bakayoko during the summer transfer window. Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been credited an interest in the French midfielder.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Mikel Arteta confirms big injury boost for Spurs clash

  • Bakayoko, 22, has been in a rich vein of form for the Principality outfit this term with his commanding presence in midfield proving key to their domestic and European form.

According to Le10Sport, Monaco will seek to offload their key midfielder in the summer after he snubbed talks over a proposed extension.

The former Rennes man has two years left on his existing deal, and it is suggested that the club will sell the player rather than let his valuation drop in the coming years.

Both Chelsea and United are in the hunt for the midfield anchorman with the latter in need of more cover with Michael Carrick likely to end his association with the Old Trafford club.

Carrick has just two months left on his existing deal, and talks over an extension are yet to progress with the player looking to hang up his boots altogether.
