Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly shelved their pursuit of Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha due to his international commitments with the Ivory Coast.
The 24-year-old failed to receive his long-awaited recall with England, and this urged him to switch his allegiance to the Ivory Coast in November last year.
Zaha has since been in fine form for club and country, and this has seen him being linked with a move to Spurs ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to The Guardian, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy could end the club's ongoing interest in Zaha as he is reluctant to spend big on a player who could miss a couple of weeks every two years due to AFCON duty.
Zaha has notched six goals and nine assists for Crystal Palace this term, and this has helped them pull six points off the drop zone.
Meanwhile, Spurs are said to have identified Everton's Ross Barkley as a potential alternative following his reluctance to extend his Toffees contract.
