Leeds look set to appoint Steve Staunton as their assistant manager.
Staunton, the ex Republic of Ireland manager is going to join up with the Led's backroom staff within the week, joining Gary McAllister who he used to work with at Coventry.
In Staunton's career gained 102 international caps and played for:
1985–1986 Dundalk
1986–1991 Liverpool
1987 → Bradford City (loan)
1991–1998 Aston Villa
1998–2000 Liverpool
2000 → Crystal Palace (loan)
2000–2003 Aston Villa
2003–2005 Coventry City
2005–2006 Walsall
Now as the possible assistant manager at Leeds he will be hoping that he can help promote them straight back into the Championship.
