Manchester United have been credited with an interest in promising Benfica goalkeeper Ederson. The 23-year-old is being lined up a potential replacment for David de Gea this summer.
The Red Devils are full aware of Real Madrid's pursuit of De Gea this summer, and they appear to have begun their search for a successor with Spanish journalist Guillem Balague citing that the deal will go through, via The Star.
A report from The Star suggests that the Red Devils are keeping a close watch on the proceedings of Ederson, who is also a target for cross-city rivals Manchester City.
Ederson has kept an impressive tally of 24 clean sheets in just 39 outings this term, and he is being seen a player, who could take over the number one role ahead of backup shot-stopper Sergio Romero next season.
De Gea currently has more than two years left on his present deal at Old Trafford, but this does not present much confidence with Real Madrid prepared to go all out for his services.
