After John Terry admitted that he may consider retirement when he leaves Chelsea at the end of the season, it is reported that Bournemouth are willing to offer the former England captain a two year contract to keep him in the game.
When Terry announced that he would leave Stamford Bridge, he was initially linked with a move to the Chinese Super League. With new foreign player regulations, that sort of move now looks unlikely, and Terry would prefer to stay in England because of his family.
Bournemouth have been linked with the veteran centre back ever since his decision was announced, with Eddie Howe willing to offer him the security of a two year contract.
The fact that Terry would be available on a free transfer would allow The Cherries to offer him a lucrative wage and signing on fee, along with the fact that he wouldn't have to relocate too far if a deal was done.
A two year contract would mean that by the time it expires, John Terry would be thirty eight years old. Despite his age, the long term Chelsea defender would bring a wealth of experience to the club, having played at the highest level with club and country.
