Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to snub Liverpool for Arsenal contract

05 June 2017 - 06:05

England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will reportedly snub advances from Liverpool in order to commit his long-term future to the north London club.

  • Chelsea handed big injury boost for Bayern clash
  • Fernandes unhappy with Man Utd role under Amorim

  • The former Southampton graduate had been in and out of the Gunners team until last season where he earned 45 appearances across all competitions.

Oxlade-Chamberlain had been normally deployed on the wings, but Wenger opted to shift him into his preferred central midfield role midway through the campaign.

He therein made the shift to right wing-back in the new 3-4-2-1 formation and had emerged as one of the standout performers in the backend of the season.

The Ox has previously stated that he is committed towards his job in north London, and it appears that he will put pen to paper on a new deal worth more than £100,000 a week.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was the sole Gunners player to be called up to the Three Lions squad for the games against Scotland and France - the first of which is a World Cup qualifier.
