Manchester United dealt massive blow as Dybala's agent confirms forward will remain at Juventus

08 June 2017 - 08:27

Manchester United have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Paulo Dybala after his agent confirmed his client's future will be at Juventus next season.

  • Inter Milan now want to sign Chelsea playmaker
  • Chelsea striker in advanced talks to join Burnley

  • Jose Mourinho turned his attention to the Argentinian after plans to sign Griezmann fell through following Atletico's Madrid failed appeal against their transfer ban. The Frenchman pledged his future to Atletico and even said in an interview that it would be a "dirty" move to leave the club in their current situation.

Dybala had another solid season for Juventus, scoring 19 goals and registering 7 assists as he led the Turin club to the Serie A title, Coppa Italia, and the Champions League final where they lost to Real Madrid 4-1.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Mourinho was strongly considering bringing Dybala to Old Trafford as he wants a goalscoring midfielder while building on the chemistry he had with Pogba back at Juventus.

However, those hopes have been dashed after Dybala's agent, Pierpaolo Triulzi, confirmed his client will not be leaving this summer.

Speaking to the Guardian, he was quoted as saying: "Paulo signed a new contract with Juventus last month. He is happy in Turin."

With manager Massimiliano Allegri also extending his contract to 2020 yesterday, it is almost certain that Dybala will stay at Juventus and continue his development under the Italian.
