  • Despite a Premier League winning season leading the Blues' attack, manager Antonio Conte sent a text message to Diego Costa informing the player that he is no longer needed at Stamford Bridge. Costa has been linked with a move to China for over 18 months but is now believed to be more interested in the possibility of a transfer staying within European borders.

The Spanish international striker has received an offer from Serie A side Juventus, who are looking to bolster their attack for the new season with the possible signing of Diego Costa and are prepared to pay up to 45 million euros to secure his coveted signature.

Chelsea striker Costa has two years remaining on his existing deal and has informed his agent that he expects to double his current salary with his next move.
