Arturo Vidal eyes China switch next summer

Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal will reportedly seek a fresh adventure in the Chinese Super League at the end of the current season.

  • The Chile international, whose contract runs until the summer of 2019, has amassed 16 goals in 88 outings for Bayern Munich since his arrival from Juventus in 2015.

Vidal bagged nine goals across all competitions for the German giants last term as they clinched their fifth successive title in the Bundesliga.

According to Sport1, the 30-year-old will eye a huge payday in the Far East once he approaches the final year of his Bayern contract next summer.

Vidal has been previously linked with a potential reunion with Antonio Conte at Chelsea, but it appears that he will stay put with the Bavarian giants for the upcoming season.

The midfielder holds a sublime record of having won the league title in each of the last six seasons, four with Juventus and two with Bayern Munich.

He is currently rated at around £38m, and this value will not prove a stumbling block for Chinese clubs, who have coughed up massive sums to recruit some of South America's best.
