Malaga's Ramirez has finally completed his long-awaited move to Everton after the Toffees overcame some obstacles in the deal.
The 21-year-old scored 14 goals and registered 2 assists for Malaga since his move from Barcelona. His performances this season have earned him many plaudits, and he was called up to represent Spain at the Under 21 European Championships. He has been performing strongly at the tournament too, most recently scoring in Spain's 3-1 win over Portugal.
Everton wanted to unveil both Davy Klaassen and Ramirez earlier this month but ran into some problems for the latter, with his departure to the European Championships preventing the ample communication needed to complete the deal.Â
However, Everton have finally got their man after agreeing on a £5.2 million fee with Malaga, according to Liverpool Echo. Ramirez has even completed a medical after his release clause was triggered. An Everton representative was also reported to have flown down to Poland to meet the Spaniard. Â
Ramirez will be the third signing of the summer for the Toffees after confirming deals for Sunderland shot-stopper Jordan Pickford for £30 million and Ajax captain Davy Klaassen for £24 million.Â
Sandro's purchase will likely speed up the departure of Romelu Lukaku, with Chelsea yet to make an official bid for the forward.
