After a positive meeting yesterday between Andrea Conti's agent and Atalanta president Percassi, AC Milan will submit a new offer of 23-24 million Euros in the coming hours, according to Sky Sport Italia. This will be an increase on the previous offer of 20 million Euros which was rejected by Atalanta.
The 23-year old right back has had an impressive season with the Nerazzurri outfit with an impressive eight goals and five assists, the most goals scored by a defender in the 2016/17 Serie A season, his stellar performances playing a major role in Atalanta's fourth place finish.
The Italy international has shown his intention which is clearly to join Milan, shown by his agent's comments, stating that "He won't go to the retreat with Atalanta, he wants Milan.". He has also stated that the 23-year old wants to take the next step in his career, considering Milan the right place for this.Â
This would be the Rossoneri's fifth signing this summer signalling an ambitious plan for the 2017/18 Serie A season.
