alomon Kalou has spoken of the special experience of his first international tournament with the Ivory Coast. The Ivorians were unfortunate to miss out on a final spot.
"It was my first one so I really enjoyed it and it was a good tournament to play," he declared.
"It is always special playing for the national team, a special moment and time. It was a pity that we didn't win through to the final because we started really well, but that's football and we have to put it together and think about next time.
"I enjoyed playing against Mikel and enjoyed winning. After the game we didn't speak, so maybe he is a bad loser, but we're still friends."
