Keegan can't stop N'Zogbia

13 February 2008 - 21:35

Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has admitted that he is unable to stop Charles N'Zogbia from leaving the club. N'Zogbia is reportedly homesick and desperate for a move away from the Toon, but Keegan has said he will try and stop him from moving.

  • "The best way to get people to commit to a club is to convince them that there isn't a better club out there for them," said Keegan.

"He's just signed a new contract, but if he's really homesick and wants to go, there isn't much we can do.

"All we can do is try to convince him that if he leaves he will miss out on something. Players are scared of jumping off a big ship on to a smaller one. They hate the idea of missing out on something. "
