Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that French midfielder Paul Pogba could be out for the 'long-term' after he suffered a hamstring injury earlier in the month.
The 24-year-old pulled his left hamstring during United's 3-0 Champions League win over Basel on September 12, and he has since not taken the playing field.
Mourinho has refused to place a timeline over Pogba's injury over the last fortnight, but reputed Finnish surgeon Sakari Orava has recently suggested that the midfielder could require a surgery to rectify the problem.
Speaking in his pre-match press-conference, Mourinho included Pogba to the long-term casualty list which includes Marcos Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
He said via ESPN: "Paul Pogba's injured; he cannot play tomorrow and his injury I cannot have hope like [Phil] Jones or [Antonio] Valencia who I can see in training and hope for positive answer.
"So don't speak about long term injuries – Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Marcos Rojo - I don't speak about them."
Meanwhile, Michael Carrick is certain to miss Saturday's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace while Marouane Fellaini is also a major doubt with an ankle injury.
Manchester United are currently placed second in the Premier League table with 16 points, same as leaders Manchester City, who hold a superior goal difference.
