Chelsea ready bumper deal for Eden Hazard

Hazard in line for new Chelsea deal

Chelsea ready bumper deal for Eden Hazard

01 October 2017 - 13:20

Premier League holders Chelsea are set to reward Eden Hazard with a new long-term deal in order to ward off any future interest from Real Madrid.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Belgium international has been eased into first-team action this term after recovering from an ankle fracture sustained on international duty in the summer.

According to The Express, the west London giants have a few minor details to solve before committing Hazard to a fresh contract worth £300,000-a-week.

Hazard is currently on a £220,000-a-week package at Stamford Bridge, and the extension would make him the league's highest earner ahead of Manchester United's Paul Pogba.

The former Lille man has previously cited that he could consider a move to Real Madrid, although he wants to win the Champions League with Chelsea first before deciding on a new challenge.

Hazard has made a relatively slow start to his campaign owing to his injury, and his performances could be key after the international break, if the Blues are to keep tabs with Manchester City and Manchester United in the title race.
