  • There had been reports today that Real Madrid are weighing up a 250 million euro bid for the striker, but this has now been denied by the club.

With Real rumoured to be seeking a replacement for striker Karim Benzema, Harry Kane has emerged as a top target for the La Liga champions.

"Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head. He is a great player and in addition he is young," Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez told Cadena COPE.

"He has many years to progress, but we are delighted with [Karim] Benzema and with all of the team.

"I didn’t ask Tottenham’s president for the price because he would have told me that he is worth €250m."

Harry Kane is expected to sign a new deal with Spurs in the coming months.
