Mesut Ozil has stressed that he will give his 100 percent to Arsenal despite the ongoing speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

  • The Germany international has just eight months left on his existing Gunners deal, and has yet to resume negotiations over an extension.

Gunners' major shareholder Stan Kroenke recently revealed his desire to keep both Ozil and Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates beyond next summer, and the former is pleased with the comments, although he stopped short of committing his future.

"It's very nice to hear that [Kroenke's comments] and to see that - he's the major shareholder," the World Cup winner told Sky Sports News.

"I'm happy here, and I do my job to 100 percent as I always have. I give everything and leave it all on the pitch for the team. Whatever else happens, we will see in the future."

Ozil has contributed 33 goals and 58 assists during his four-year spell with the Gunners, but his future has come into question day by day due to his reluctance to sign a fresh deal.

The attacker has been heavily tipped for a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford next season, but a report from The Manchester Evening News suggests that United have not made any contact with his representatives.
