West Ham plan to offload Marko Arnautovic

Newly-appointed West Ham United manager David Moyes is reportedly prepared to offload the services of Marko Arnautovic during the winter transfer window.

  • The Austria international joined the Hammers on a club-record £25m from rivals Stoke City in the summer, but he has since struggled to make a notable impact at the east London club.

With the Hammers in the drop zone, Moyes has set his sights on solidifying his midfield, and he is willing to offload Arnautovic to recoup funds, The Mirror reports.

Bournemouth's Harry Arter is presently the leading candidate to replace Arnautovic with Moyes tasked with the job of helping West Ham seal a mid-table position at the least.

Arnautovic has notched just two goals since his switch from the Britannia Stadium in the summer, and he has already been sent off once against Southampton in August.

West Ham United are currently positioned 18th in the standings with nine points. The Hammers possess the worst defence in the division with an average of more than two goals conceded per game.
