Aston Villa appear to have missed out on the signature of Benfica's right back, Nelson. The Under-21 international has been outstanding in the Portuguese leagues recently and has received international call-ups.
Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira claims Villa lodged an offer in the January transfer window, but it fell short of their £8 million valuation.
"Nelson is a key member of our side and the money (offered) does not correspond with his market value."
