Robinson set for Spurs recall

Robinson set for Spurs recall

20 February 2008 - 13:26

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos looks set to recall Paul Robinson and give the England goalkeeper one last chance in the Spurs first team. Robinson has been given another go after Cerny made a howler in last week's game in Prague.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • Robinson, 28, will now be given one final chance to prove to his Spanish manager, as well as to the new England head coach Fabio Capello, that he is worth persevering with.

Ramos has reportedly made the decision to drop Cerny after studying video footage of the Czech's recent displays, that included another error as Tottenham lost in the FA Cup fourth round to Manchester United, before deciding he may not have the big-match temperament that will be needed as Spurs go in search of cup glory on two fronts in the closing months of the season.
