The Swiss FA have confirmed Ottmar Hitzfeld will take over from Kobi Kuhn as national-team coach after Euro 2008.
"The Swiss FA is very pleased that Ottmar Hitzfeld, a very experienced coach with an impressive career at club level, has decided to take charge of the national team," read a statement on www.football.ch.
Hitzfeld is due to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
