Downing still yet to sign

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has revealed that Stewart Downing has yet to have signed a new deal with Boro. The player has been linked with a move to Tottenham, but his boss is confident the player will definitely sign a new deal.

"As with any contract, it has to go to one side's solicitors to make sure everything is right," Southgate revealed.



"It's just about physically being here and getting it all done. There is no stumbling block.



"I know Stewart is keen to just get it done and I'm sure that it will be done in the next couple of days or so."
