Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has provided a fitness update on Laurent Koscielny, who was substituted during the early stages of the Gunners' 3-1 triumph over AC Milan in the Europa League.
The France international has struggled with a recurring Achilles problem over the past 18 months, but the current injury is rather related to his back, where he received a kick prior to his 11th-minute substitution.
Speaking after the game, Wenger was asked about the defender's situation where he appeared to erase fears of any serious injury, he said: "He got a kick on his back. We don’t think it’s bad. But he cramped up and couldn’t go on."
With the 5-1 aggregate triumph over Milan, Arsenal have progressed to the quarter-final of the Europa League where they face-off against CSKA Moscow.
The Gunners are very much out of the hunt for a top-four position in the league, and winning the Europa League remains essential to their aim of competing in next season's Champions League.
