Manchester United have received a potential boost in their quest to sign Jorginho with the player's agent said to have arrived in Manchester to hold transfer negotiations.
The Italian is regarded as one of the top targets to bolster the midfield during the summer, but Jose Mourinho's side may still have to contend with competition from arch-rivals Liverpool.
Jorginho's representative Joao Santos had declined any contact with the Red Devils earlier in the month, but TMW claims that the agent has now arrived in Manchester to discuss a suitable move.
The Brazilian-born midfielder has built up a reputation with Napoli owing to his exceptional ball distribution skills and this makes him a like-for-like replacement for Michael Carrick, who is due to retire at the end of the season.
Marouane Fellaini is also expected to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer in the summer, and this has further intensified the need for a new enforcer for the 2018/19 season and beyond.
