Hatem Ben Arfa has struggled to make an impact at Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and he is expected to leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season, with Premier League club Leicester City reported to be interested in giving him another opportunity in England.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Ben Arfa has failed to make an appearance for PSG this season and stated on social media that despite being proud to have worn the jersey that "soon is the end".

The 31-year-old has previously represented both Newcastle United and Hull City in the Premier League and showed that whilst not the most consistent performer, he has outstanding ability.

Ben Arfa is the sort of attacking player that would fit in well with Leicester City's style of play and manager Claude Puel has worked with him for a short time in the past during the pair's time at Lyon.

Another player who made his name by performing in France is Leicester's current star player, Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian has been on the verge of leaving the club for several transfer windows now and has voiced his displeasure when The Foxes have failed to sell him.

Once again, it is likely that Mahrez will attract interest in the coming months, with Arsenal and Manchester City being linked in recent times, but he will only be authorised to leave if Leicester receive a substantial amount of money and they are first able to identify a replacement.

Leicester take on Brighton on Saturday as they look to launch an unlikely late bid for a top-six Premier League finish.
