Arsenal manager drops goalkeeper update ahead of CSKA clash

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he is yet to finalise the goalkeeper for Thursday's Europa League quarter-final tie against CSKA Moscow.

  • Chelsea & Arsenal handed blow in Bundesliga striker pursuit

  • Cech missed the Premier League meeting against Stoke City last weekend with a Pelvic injury, but he is back in contention for the midweek European clash versus CSKA.

Despite this, there are question marks whether the veteran will start tomorrow, given David Ospina has got the nod in eight of the Gunners' 10 Europa League outings this season.

In a report covered by Arsenal's official website, Wenger refused to give any clue on the selection, and the fans will have to wait until the teamsheets are put out on matchday.

Arsenal need to win the Europa League in order to qualify for next season's Champions League campaign, and Wenger will be desperate for a positive result at the Emirates Stadium.

The club have kept clean sheets in three of their previous four games in all competitions, and Wenger will demand more of the same from the side as they seek to make a significant stride towards the semi-final stage.
