Luis Enrique makes his transfer budget demands for Arsenal move

Former Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique is reportedly said to demand a transfer kitty of £200m if he is to succeed Arsene Wenger as the next Arsenal boss.

  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?
  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Earlier this month, long-standing manager Arsene Wenger announced that he will be parting ways with the club in the summer, and the Gunners have since been linked with multiple candidates.

Among those, Luis Enrique has been earmarked as one of the favourites though the Gunners may have to accept his demands ahead of his probable appointment.

According to The Sun, Enrique has plans to 'rip through the squad' during the off-season with changes expected to be made in the goalkeeping, defensive and midfield positions.

It is added that the Spaniard wants a £200m transfer kitty on the table and this would help him improve the squad which has heavily invested in the frontline of late.

Arsenal are primed to finish sixth in the Premier League standings and their chances of winning the Europa League title also look bleak after a 1-1 draw at home to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their semi-final
