Manchester United want Serie A left-back to replace Luke Shaw

Manchester United have reportedly identified Juventus left-back Alex Sandro as a suitable replacement for Luke Shaw at the end of the campaign.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Brazilian joined the Old Lady from Porto in the summer of 2015 and he has since played a key role in the club's Serie A and Coppa Italia triumphs in recent seasons.

According to The Manchester Evening News, United are keen to revive their interest in Sandro and they are prepared to Matteo Darmian as a makeweight to push through a summer move.

Should the deal go through, Mourinho is expected to also sanction the exits of Luke Shaw and Daley Blind, who have failed to impress under his tutelage this season.

Ashley Young has been the outright choice to start at left-back this term but the manager is seemingly desperate to sign a competitor with the Englishman having entered the twilight of his playing career.
