Manchester United still keen on Marouane Fellaini stay

Manchester United are yet to give up on the prospect of committing midfielder Marouane Fellaini to a new long-term contract.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Belgium international has just 23 days left on his current deal with the Red Devils but the club's hierarchy remain optimistic of extending his stay.

According to PA Sport, the 30-year-old could stay on for at least another year at Old Trafford, should he agree upon United's original contract offer tabled back in September.

Fellaini has lost the support of the club's faithful over the past six months but he still remains a favourite under Jose Mourinho, who has urged him to stay on multiple occasions.

Back in April, the Portuguese head coach said that the contract talks were positive regarding the Belgian ace but so far, the midfielder has been adamant to extend his stay.

Fellaini is currently attracting interest from both Arsenal and AC Milan and he could leave on a free transfer to either club, should he run down the remainder of his United deal.
